Gustavo Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Anundsson in the 15th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bonet came free, but Gustavo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luis Bonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jo Øverås made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Viscarra in the 27th minute. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bonet in the 30th minute of play. Gustavo Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Bonet's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Daustad were awarded a corner. Peng Song Ting went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Peng Song Ting at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Club Deportivo Águila. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Luis Bonet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Guimarães was relentless in the 40th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Viscarra made a kick off. If Ivan Viscarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Daustad booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Corpeño lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peng Song Ting in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Daustad had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
