In the 6th minute Feliciano Porfiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Fe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of D.J. Gol's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Federico Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from D.J. Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Osasun in the 14th minute of play. Federico Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from D.J. Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Black Rose 1979's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastian Enekoitz in the 19th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goal looked a bit too open when D.J. Gol came free, but Federico Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Trapiche getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fredo Herzog hit a great ball. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Osasun in the 29th minute of play. Gaufred Betanzos struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Federico Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Rose 1979. Sebastian Enekoitz made a great header on Black Rose 1979's corner, it was just that Trapiche's Federico Fe managed to reach the ball for a save. 35 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goal looked a bit too open when Gaufred Betanzos came free, but Federico Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 37th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trapiche's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastian Enekoitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Black Rose 1979's players had a chance to rest. 40 minutes into the game, Gaufred Betanzos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Federico Fe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute of the match, Feliciano Porfiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Black Rose 1979's D.J. Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Trapiche's Federico Fe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Trapiche from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the game, one of Trapiche:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70th minute, Fredo Herzog had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Davor Šuker charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davor Šuker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Trapiche made a substitution. Honorio Ongile replaced Fredo Herzog.
