Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Doom, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Doom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Trinidad & Tobago's Sanjiv Yorke got control of the ball when Snæþór Þorbergsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes Iceland got a freekick which was hit by Kristmundur Knútsson. Sanjiv Yorke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Snæþór Þorbergsson in the 71st minute of the match. Trinidad & Tobago's Sanjiv Yorke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Trinidad & Tobago from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Glói Emilsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sanjiv Yorke. That made the score 1-1 in the 74 minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Sanjiv Yorke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Össur Ármannsson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Doom in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sanjiv Yorke made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Snæþór Þorbergsson sent off a good shot on target. Sanjiv Yorke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Snæþór Þorbergsson in the 84th minute. When Glói Emilsson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Iceland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glói Emilsson couldn't finish the play.
