Fernando Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tolek Kiszkiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Marinho came free, but Tolek Kiszkiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Fernando Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tolek Kiszkiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Marinho went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kuno Lüdimõis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Grom in the 17th minute of the match. Tolek Kiszkiel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boguslaw Zdeb in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Zygmunt Jarmulowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuno Lüdimõis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC ICEWIND DALE booed when Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulryk Miodek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Fernando Marinho scored to the left of an out of position Tolek Kiszkiel, making the score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zygmunt Jarmulowicz to make the kick off. Tolek Kiszkiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Marinho in the 57th minute of play. Ulryk Miodek kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Poland's Walery Dytrych nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kuno Lüdimõis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC ICEWIND DALE's goalkeeper Kuno Lüdimõis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Marinho struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tolek Kiszkiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC ICEWIND DALE. Fernando Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. FC ICEWIND DALE's Kuno Lüdimõis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save FC ICEWIND DALE from getting a goal against them. After 79 played minutes Konstanty Janiczek rounded FC ICEWIND DALE's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Kuno Lüdimõis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstanty Janiczek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstanty Janiczek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kuno Lüdimõis came out and tried to block the shot, but Konstanty Janiczek slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 87th minute. FC ICEWIND DALE's Wincent Debowski was substituted for Boguslaw Zdeb. Konstanty Janiczek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Kuno Lüdimõis made a huge save. The Poland supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Poland would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
