The supporters of Cosmos 1984 NewDance booed when FC ZARZECZE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themistoklis Gounaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Udrişte in the 7th minute of play forced Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Andrzej Köpke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC ZARZECZE's Zenon Trzemzalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliusz Ziombkowski in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Bogdan Udrişte made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bogdan Udrişte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andrzej Köpke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Bogdan Udrişte put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Andrzej Köpke. Andrzej Köpke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Udrişte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrzej Köpke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Udrişte, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. FC ZARZECZE's Zenon Trzemzalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Jaroszewicz in the 32nd minute of play. Andrzej Köpke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 35th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Zagrobelny in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zenon Trzemzalski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 40 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Themistoklis Gounaris came free, but Andrzej Köpke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Kryspin Jaroszewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Trzemzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Bogdan Udrişte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kryspin Jaroszewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, FC ZARZECZE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Fülöp to maneuver through the defense. If Bogdan Udrişte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute of the match, Bogdan Udrişte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andrzej Köpke saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Bogdan Udrişte took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Andrzej Köpke to make any attempt to save it. Andrzej Köpke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 58th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, FC ZARZECZE's Bogdan Udrişte made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrzej Köpke was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Bogdan Udrişte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrzej Köpke was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Bogdan Udrişte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC ZARZECZE were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Themistoklis Gounaris took the corner. With a little luck, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke got control of the ball when Bogdan Udrişte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Udrişte might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrzej Köpke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Udrişte ran back to his position shaking his head. FC ZARZECZE made a substitution. Artur Matusiak replaced Bogdan Udrişte. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Matusiak in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrzej Köpke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Ludomil Wos got a free kick in the 87th minute. Artur Matusiak was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. FC ZARZECZE's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Teobald Wlodyga kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Cosmos 1984 NewDance manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC ZARZECZE to win.
