After a defensive mix-up in Yesilköy JK's zone, Luiz Fábio Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bedrettin Sakman came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Mazza during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yesilköy JK booed when Tulhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Yesilköy JK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Onur Ali Erdursun hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Arif Çelebi Kemalettin sped through Tulhas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Favoretto. In the 34th minute Şinasi Nuralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yesilköy JK. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alfredo Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Çelebi Kemalettin in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mevlüt Yetiş in the 54th minute of play forced Tulhas's goalkeeper Alfredo Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Tulhas's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Çelebi Kemalettin came free, but Alfredo Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mevlüt Yetiş in the 63rd minute of play. Arif Çelebi Kemalettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Favoretto having to interfere. Şinasi Nuralp missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 85 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alfredo Favoretto right hand side. With 94 minutes on the clock, Cihat Bilgen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yesilköy JK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The Yesilköy JK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tulhas's performance. The match ended with a win for Tulhas.
