An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Plopan in the 3rd minute of play forced Kiniska's goalkeeper Fiachra Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donelle Kirby in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavian Macovei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute Birr Mullan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Macovei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mădălin Stolojan charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mădălin Stolojan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donelle Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ionică Vasilian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donelle Kirby struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Octavian Macovei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kiniska. If Donelle Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mădălin Stolojan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Birr Mullan had to leave the field with a concussion. Traian Miu charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Miu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kiniska booed when Pop Impex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Miu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Donelle Kirby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pop Impex's Octavian Macovei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Augustin Plopan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pop Impex's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Plopan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradain McSteven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bradain McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Macovei having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Donelle Kirby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pop Impex's Octavian Macovei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donelle Kirby made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Octavian Macovei successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Pop Impex booed when Kiniska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradain McSteven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodor Pintilescu's late challenge caught a Kiniska's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Pintilescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kiniska booed when Pop Impex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Pintilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pop Impex's Octavian Macovei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Pop Impex from getting a goal against them. When Bradain McSteven came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Kiniska fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradain McSteven couldn't finish the play. After 87 minutes, Dinu Lupoaia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pop Impex and the Kiniska players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Dinu Lupoaia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 96 minutes, Beag Myler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kiniska's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beag Myler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Pop Impex fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kiniska were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
