In the 6th minute Gilberto Acha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Macovei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Macovei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Acha's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Lucila Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Macovei having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucila Vega got free with Octavian Macovei in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Mădălin Stolojan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pop Impex's goalkeeper Octavian Macovei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Octavian Macovei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Acha, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lucila Vega who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Octavian Macovei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th minute, La Cueva Del Pajaro's Gilberto Acha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 38 minutes into the match, Pop Impex's goalkeeper Octavian Macovei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucila Vega. Victorio Garate made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gilberto Acha. La Cueva Del Pajaro's Lucila Vega got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gilberto Acha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinu Lupoaia made a kick off. Dinu Lupoaia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Cazorla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Victorio Garate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Acha in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Macovei saved Pop Impex from getting behind. Lucila Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Macovei having to make a save. The supporters of La Cueva Del Pajaro booed when Pop Impex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Pintilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavian Macovei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Acha, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Gilberto Acha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Acha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Macovei was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Pop Impex got a freekick which was hit by Horea Crainic. 94 minutes into the match, Garci Patiño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Macovei. Pop Impex's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garci Patiño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Cueva Del Pajaro fully deserved thier win.
