Ionică Vasilian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kubat İncel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ionică Vasilian managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Augustin Plopan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pop Impex's protests and gave Augustin Plopan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Pop Impex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Plopan to maneuver through the defense. Traian Miu hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Octavian Macovei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Refik Atik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinu Lupoaia to make the kick off. The supporters of Bahcekapi JK booed when Pop Impex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Plopan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
