Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Inácio Machado kicked off to start the match. Luís Guilherme Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Guilherme Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute of the match Porfiro Castellano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Favoretto skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tulhas's zone, Gilberto Acha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Favoretto came out of the goal and Gilberto Acha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Acha's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Lucila Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute Gilberto Acha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inácio Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Cazorla having to interfere. Alfredo Favoretto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucila Vega went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauro Brodel got free with Danilo Cazorla in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tulhas's Alfredo Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Acha in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Lucila Vega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cueva Del Pajaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucila Vega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lucila Vega fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cueva Del Pajaro's protests and gave Lucila Vega a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tulhas booed when La Cueva Del Pajaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucila Vega didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lucila Vega came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the La Cueva Del Pajaro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucila Vega couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Acha in the 44th minute of play forced Tulhas's goalkeeper Alfredo Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucila Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Favoretto having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Acha was the one to do the kick off. Garci Patiño's late challenge caught a Tulhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garci Patiño helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes La Cueva Del Pajaro got a freekick which was hit by Garci Patiño. Danilo Cazorla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Garci Patiño was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Danilo Cazorla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Machado's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Lucila Vega struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Alfredo Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cueva Del Pajaro. Feliu Acha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Favoretto having to interfere. Tulhas's Inácio Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tulhas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Richard Mazza hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Lauro Brodel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of La Cueva Del Pajaro's Danilo Cazorla. Danilo Cazorla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Lucila Vega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Tulhas's goal looked a bit too open when Lucila Vega came free, but Alfredo Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
