Though ot was a great shot U21 United States's keeper Cory Kenny was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When U21 Hungary's Viktor Bodrogi in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 United States's goalie prevented a goal. Viktor Bodrogi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cory Kenny made a huge save. Csaba Kossuth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoltán Csonka's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cory Kenny firmly grabbed it by the left post. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 United States's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adorján Havasi was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Adorján Havasi made a great header on U21 Hungary's corner, it was just that U21 United States's Cory Kenny managed to reach the ball for a save. Cory Kenny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Bodrogi in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Viktor Bodrogi put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cory Kenny. Balázs Hujber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Milton in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Bodrogi in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cory Kenny saved U21 United States from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, U21 Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Cagna came free, but Balázs Hujber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of U21 Hungary booed when U21 United States was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McCain didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Balázs Hujber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Valle in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Lanny Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Balázs Hujber was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. U21 Hungary's Imre Balázs was substituted for Miklós Bodnár. After a rather tough play, U21 Hungary's Szabolcs László got a free kick in the 65th minute. Balázs Hujber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Cagna in the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Viktor Bodrogi made a precise shot to the right of Cory Kenny. U21 United States's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The U21 Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when U21 Hungary's Viktor Bodrogi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Bodrogi in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cory Kenny saved U21 United States from getting behind. In the 79thth minute of the game Viktor Bodrogi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 United States's Cory Kenny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lanny Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Balázs Hujber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Viktor Bodrogi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cory Kenny was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lanny Valle got free with Balázs Hujber in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 minutes, Viktor Bodrogi made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. U21 United States's Cory Kenny tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Imre Balázs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Viktor Bodrogi sped through U21 United States's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cory Kenny. Balázs Hujber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Valle in the 94th minute of play.
