The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Curt Stöckli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ameer Al Muwail, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ghazi Al Ajmi lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 8 minutes, Adnan Al Hashash managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gulf Heroes T.N.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adnan Al Hashash was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Khalefa Al Sharah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curt Stöckli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ajmán Club defense, Khalefa Al Sharah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Curt Stöckli. The Ajmán Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Curt Stöckli should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Gulf Heroes T.N.A's Adnan Al Hashash nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Curt Stöckli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Mosalam Al Sherazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Galoer having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Fuad Shams recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cesar Galoer. Fuad Shams showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ameer Al Muwail in the 30th minute of play forced Ajmán Club's goalkeeper Curt Stöckli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fuad Shams in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Galoer saved Gulf Heroes T.N.A from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Ajmán Club's Cesar Galoer threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fuad Shams, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anas Al Balool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curt Stöckli having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Curt Stöckli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adnan Al Hashash in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd match minute, Ajmán Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moath Al Zamel to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Adnan Al Hashash hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Mosalam Al Sherazi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Adnan Al Hashash came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Gulf Heroes T.N.A fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adnan Al Hashash couldn't finish the play. Cesar Galoer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fuad Shams's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Adnan Al Hashash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Curt Stöckli made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Al Hindi in the 75th minute of play forced Gulf Heroes T.N.A's goalkeeper Cesar Galoer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Fuad Shams's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Galoer was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fuad Shams in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Galoer saved Gulf Heroes T.N.A from getting behind. Curt Stöckli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ameer Al Muwail in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anas Al Balool got free with Curt Stöckli in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesar Galoer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fuad Shams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ajmán Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
