Domenico Lampa made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when 韩星松 sent off a good shot on target. Domenico Lampa had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when 谢庭星 from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Domenico Lampa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 韩星松, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after 韩星松 fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 27th match minute, Khor Fakkan Sport & C C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamem Hayat to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Coventry City booed when Khor Fakkan Sport & C C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qutada Al Mothaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelnaser Dehrab got free with 冯昆冰 in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute 何雄海 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Lampa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Coventry City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 韩星松 to maneuver through the defense. Coventry City's 冯昆冰 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Coventry City from getting a goal against them. When Adham Al Dosery fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's protests and gave Adham Al Dosery a yellow card for diving instead. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Coventry City's much stronger midfield.
