After 4 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Vince Haywood. 8 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Lund came free, but Dušan Ančic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Pelle Nyqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. William Dunning kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Sebastian Percival ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Karlsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético de Newell's Sebastian Percival slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Karlsson. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Naujasodis in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Monia&Ibrahim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Naujasodis to maneuver through the defense. Casper Karlsson made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Devon Howson sent off a good shot on target. Dušan Ančic came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Monia&Ibrahim's Pelle Nyqvist. But to his dismay, Pelle Nyqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 33 minutes, Inge Collin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monia&Ibrahim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Collin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Sjöö in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dušan Ančic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Nyqvist in the 36th minute of play. Monia&Ibrahim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Spike Foley scored to the left of an out of position Casper Karlsson, making the score, 3-1. Dušan Ančic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Nyqvist in the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Dunning during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Dunning to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Percival could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Casper Karlsson made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pelle Nyqvist was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Monia&Ibrahim's Gustavo Gómez got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Simon Sundling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casper Karlsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arbi Newell during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Arbi Newell got a free kick in the 55th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Monia&Ibrahim's Pelle Nyqvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dušan Ančic. That made the score 3-2 after 58 minutes of play. Dušan Ančic came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Monia&Ibrahim's Inge Collin. But to his dismay, Inge Collin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Casper Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Alexandersen in the 71st minute of play. Casper Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Sundling in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Sebastian Percival shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inge Collin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Dušan Ančic made a huge save. The supporters of Monia&Ibrahim booed when Club Atlético de Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vince Haywood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monia&Ibrahim's Sebastian Malm shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dušan Ančic but with some difficulty. Casper Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Alexandersen in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Monia&Ibrahim players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
