In the 15th minute of the match AC Roma got a corner. RIVER PINAMAR fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Marin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristoforo Brillante came out and tried to block the shot, but Humberto Marin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 17th minute. If Javier Della Francesca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Brillante made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Juliano Álvarez sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Roma's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benedicto Tadzio was slow to take the kick. During this time RIVER PINAMAR fc's players had a chance to rest. Benedicto Tadzio made a great header on RIVER PINAMAR fc's corner, it was just that AC Roma's Cristoforo Brillante managed to reach the ball for a save. Alvaro Sforza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Cutberto having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The ball had pretty good speed, but Jorge Cutberto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luiz Paulo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, RIVER PINAMAR fc's Felix Ikatz got a free kick in the 61st minute. The RIVER PINAMAR fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC Roma were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
