An unexpectedly hard shot by Raed Kakoli in the 29th minute of play forced Al Ahli Club's goalkeeper Domingos Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Al Ahli Club's Domingos Berriotxoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monther Al Ateqi in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Salam Al Hashash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Berriotxoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Berriotxoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raed Kakoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yazeed Al Saleh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarhan Al Bloshi in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eshaq Al Khars to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saif Boland in the 45th minute of play forced Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Domingos Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raed Kakoli in the 51st minute of play. After 52 played minutes Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain got a freekick which was hit by Fahad Bo Hamad. 58 minutes into the match, Gibrel Ghadhanfer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Yazeed Al Saleh. Yazeed Al Saleh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Al Ahli Club booed when Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawood Al Enzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain defense, Gibrel Ghadhanfer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yazeed Al Saleh. The Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yazeed Al Saleh should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute Khalaf Al Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Berriotxoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
