Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hashem Ashkanani in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Tudor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hashem Ashkanani in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adem Boften got free with Martin Tudor in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Fuyaira SC's Naji Al Khobaize got a free kick in the 10th minute. Hashem Ashkanani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Martin Tudor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aesem Khaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chorache Tofiño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fuyaira SC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Adem Boften hit a great ball. If Chorache Tofiño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fuyaira SC's Aesem Khaja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chorache Tofiño in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Fuyaira SC got a freekick which was hit by Adem Boften. Aesem Khaja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chorache Tofiño in the 25th minute of the match. Basem Shadad hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Aesem Khaja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vasile Blănaru went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Yaqoub Khaja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Martin Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aesem Khaja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 47th minute of the match Progresul Pitesti got a corner. Fuyaira SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florin Logofătu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Progresul Pitesti's Timmie Deinse getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Aesem Khaja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasile Blănaru in the 57th minute. Timmie Deinse's late challenge caught a Fuyaira SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timmie Deinse helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fuyaira SC booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmie Deinse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aesem Khaja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chorache Tofiño in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Blănaru got free with Aesem Khaja in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adem Boften sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Progresul Pitesti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florin Logofătu in the 82nd minute. Aesem Khaja made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Chorache Tofiño sent off a good shot on target. Chorache Tofiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aesem Khaja having to interfere. Fuyaira SC's Adem Boften got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's Timmie Deinse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aesem Khaja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Fuyaira SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Progresul Pitesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
