But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Ugutz couldn't finish the play. Nistor Sârban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Vicky Donda made a huge save. Vicky Donda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Sârban in the 11th minute of the match. Casimiro Ugutz might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstanty Wawro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Ugutz ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casimiro Ugutz in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Konstanty Wawro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Nistor Sârban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casimiro Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constantin Arnăuțescu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Elpidio Umbruso hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Ugutz to make the kick off. A collision led to Nouvelle Vague getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Folke Billberg hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the game Hugo Barros made a throw-in which Juninho Juni played forward. The supporters of Nouvelle Vague booed when Rega Merida CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaroslav Svitlychnyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nouvelle Vague's Luis Henrico was substituted for Casimiro Ugutz. Nouvelle Vague made a substitution. Anselmo Dracena replaced Juninho Juni. Rega Merida CF's Damazy Warka was substituted for Karol Swiderski. Yaroslav Svitlychnyi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The long shot by Anselmo Dracena in the 69th minute really tested Konstanty Wawro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 71st play minute Luis Henrico came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Konstanty Wawro. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konrad Knopek in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicky Donda saved Nouvelle Vague from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Luis Henrico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstanty Wawro was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Konstanty Wawro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Henrico's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nouvelle Vague walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
