Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mattias Svan kicked off to start the match. After 5 minutes, Guido Vissenaeken made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute Mattias Svan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho González was a little too slow when Guido Vissenaeken got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 2-0. Nacho González stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Vissenaeken's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 18th minute of play. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amin Kurd in the 19th minute of play. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Svan in the 22nd minute of play. Guido Vissenaeken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho González having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 26th minute when Guido Vissenaeken elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Ümit Karan came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Karan in the 29th minute of the match. Guido Vissenaekens short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Nacho González to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nacho González made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Guido Vissenaeken sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Astillero del Guayas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfons Bagge was slow to take the kick. During this time Brugge United's players had a chance to rest. Nacho González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Brugge United got a corner. Astillero del Guayas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfons Bagge ran over to the corner to take the kick. Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nacho González in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González got control of the ball when Laurențiu Roşculeţ tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnauld Van Impe did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Nacho González 43 minutes into the match. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Van Impe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Brugge United's Goffrey Sas was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Goffrey Sas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Goffrey Sas in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 minutes, Goffrey Sas made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Goffrey Sas in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho González saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. The Brugge United fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Brugge United's Goffrey Sas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Svan in the 68th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Svan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Mattias Svan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vítor Baia, 6-1. In the 82nd minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goffrey Sas in the 87th minute of play. Mattias Svan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Xaiver Ascarretazabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Brugge United fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Brugge United's Goffrey Sas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brugge United had won after a very even match.
