A nice corner shot did that Ziemowit Lampa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maximiliano Eliazar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kenya's Maximiliano Eliazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Kenya from getting a goal against them. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Trăilă in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lorenzo Betadur who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Kenya's corner Lorenzo Betadur fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nacho González quite easily take care of the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Kenya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Melo to maneuver through the defense. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Tardelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Eliazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulizes Sola's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kenya's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Kenya's Ermegildo Ibon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Ulizes Sola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Eliazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Paco Melo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Paraszczuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

51 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Melo came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paco Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Nacho González made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Nacho González successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kenya were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo Betadur took the corner. Kenya's Lorenzo Betadur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nacho González in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 59th minute, one of Kenya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kenya. Paco Melo might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nacho González. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. Patricio Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Rallis came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Zarando Eguizabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zarando Eguizabal in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Kenya's goal looked a bit too open when Zarando Eguizabal came free, but Maximiliano Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Zarando Eguizabal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Kenya's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Astillero del Guayas had won, even though Kenya had held more of the ball.
