In the 13th minute Meder Muños shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Roland made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ulizes Sola sent off a good shot on target. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meder Muños in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Intimos de Reynoso got a corner. Astillero del Guayas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcus Björkänge ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Intimos de Reynoso's corner Marcus Björkänge fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nacho González quite easily take care of the ball. Meder Muños recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Intimos de Reynoso's Ovidio Roland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarando Eguizabal in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when Intimos de Reynoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Meder Muños stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Erez Marica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intimos de Reynoso's supporters rose to their feet, but Erez Marica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho González breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Intimos de Reynoso's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
