Arlindo Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Treppa in the 18th minute. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Sanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Sanson in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kamal Pahlevi saved Tirant lo Blanch from getting behind. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesinha Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Leonard Treppa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arlindo Rossi was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
