The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Luca Pancu in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Juan Chayo came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Luca Pancu. But to his dismay, Luca Pancu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Abeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Dan Petrescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Chayo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Ciocoiu in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vampiros Aztecas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luca Pancu was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's players had a chance to rest. Vampiros Aztecas's Juan Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Pancu in the 33rd minute of play. Iacob Povară made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rolf Weyand sent off a good shot on target. 武 曹操 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iacob Povară came out and tried to block the shot, but 武 曹操 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 36th minute. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match Vampiros Aztecas got a corner. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 武 曹操 ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ubaldo Abeitia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară did a great save. Vampiros Aztecas's Juan Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Coporan in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară got control of the ball when Thomas Verheydt tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Verheydt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Viorel Gurzău got a free kick in the 51st minute. Niklas Sule took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iacob Povară. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 55th minute Dragoş Coporan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Verheydt in the 59th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Dragoş Coporan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luca Pancu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Juan Chayo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luca Pancu in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juan Chayo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rolf Weyand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubaldo Abeitia hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Vampiros Aztecas's Rolf Weyand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iacob Povară narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Verheydt in the 82nd minute of the match. Dragoş Coporan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Rolf Weyand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iacob Povară having to make a save. Rolf Weyand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iacob Povară read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Weyand in the 92nd minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sorin Cupșa during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sorin Cupșa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
