Thanks to some nice moves Diego Narbona could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Janar Lehismets however easily saved by the left post. New Loser FC's Janar Lehismets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save New Loser FC from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Negri came free, but Mauricio Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janar Lehismets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dong Zhou Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Puerto Quito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Conrado Leo in the 15th minute. Iván Hurtado hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Mauricio Precioso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonsinho Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Club Puerto Quito's Diego Narbona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Janar Lehismets. Janar Lehismets yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Mauricio Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Paraíba in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goalkeeper Janar Lehismets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dong Zhou Chen. Tenorio Cuerva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janar Lehismets having to interfere. New Loser FC's Janar Lehismets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save New Loser FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayoví Costoya in the 46th minute of play forced New Loser FC's goalkeeper Janar Lehismets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janar Lehismets came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Puerto Quito's Diego Narbona. But to his dismay, Diego Narbona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Laureano Amato made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of New Loser FC booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Puerto Quito's zone, Laureano Amato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Precioso came out of the goal and Laureano Amato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Afonsinho Negri took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Mauricio Precioso to make any attempt to save it. In the 58th match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Negri to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dong Zhou Chen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janar Lehismets was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 64 played minutes New Loser FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Ljungberg. New Loser FC's Janar Lehismets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayoví Costoya in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Amato came free, but Mauricio Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Narbona hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. New Loser FC's Rikard Göransson was substituted for Laureano Amato. After a rather tough play, Club Puerto Quito's Diego Narbona got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 79 played minutes, New Loser FC's Murilo Paraíba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mauricio Precioso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Loser FC reached it. Mauricio Precioso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonsinho Negri in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Maurinho da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Loser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Puerto Quito the free kick. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Maurinho da Silva got a free kick in the 89th minute. Janar Lehismets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dong Zhou Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
