After a defensive mix-up in R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's zone, Lesardo Alavedra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Uchiha came out of the goal and Lesardo Alavedra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evander Zabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Solera in the 11th minute of play forced R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper Tony Uchiha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И booed when Deportivo Alavés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xiao Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes, Amador Urbasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Alavés and the R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Deportivo Alavés got a freekick which was hit by Amador Urbasa. 19 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Alavés:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Francisco Ignado charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Ignado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tony Uchiha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Alavedra in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Aquilino Nobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evander Zabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Cristo Rey took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Evander Zabel to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Rey to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lesardo Alavedra in the 68th minute of play forced R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper Tony Uchiha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Deportivo Alavés's Vincent Solera in the 70th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tony Uchiha was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И through an amazing save. In the 71st minute of the match Deportivo Alavés got a corner. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Generoso Estrada ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Lesardo Alavedra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Alavés's Wiggo Wipp was substituted for Vincent Solera. After 77 played minutes R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И got a freekick which was hit by Ola Lekberg. Evander Zabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И defense, Sergi Gómez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Uchiha. The R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Uchiha should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Aquilino Nobo in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Wincent Poling. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
