KV Schoonwater's Daniel Ingelbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Wawrinka in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Geraerts came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Gijselinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Gijselinx in the 16th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KV Schoonwater's Daniel Ingelbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekain Menendez in the 22nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Daniel Ingelbert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Espen Steelers's Stan Wawrinka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Ingelbert. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. Williams Imholz took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Ingelbert. Daniel Ingelbert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Hugo Gijselinx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Wiggers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Ingelbert acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Williams Imholz. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Gijselinx in the 44th minute of the match. Torben Krabber was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Espen Steelers!

The audience was convinced that Williams Imholz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Ingelbert was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The Espen Steelers fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Espen Steelers's Williams Imholz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 88th minute, Williams Imholz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Ingelbert was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the KV Schoonwater players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
