Blair McCormick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatán Escalona's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. If Albino Steven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jonatán Escalona sped through Taquaral Campineiro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Blair McCormick. LA 90's Jonatán Escalona got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Taquaral Campineiro getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Geraldo de Godoi hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geraldo de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Armando Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruperto Bettini made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Geraldo de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Ruperto Bettini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Donatello in the 56th minute of the match. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatán Escalona in the 58th minute of play. Blair McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatán Escalona, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Taquaral Campineiro's Geraldo de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 67th match minute, LA 90 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Warnes to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, LA 90's goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Steven. LA 90's Ruperto Bettini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Guerra in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, LA 90's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Donatello came free, but Ruperto Bettini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Waldemar Baptista sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LA 90's Ruperto Bettini didn't even have to move. If Andoni Puyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, LA 90's goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Donatello. A hard shot 92 in the game by Geraldo de Godoi from a close distance when the talented Ruperto Bettini managed to make a qualified save. LA 90's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute, Waldemar Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Arjona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blair McCormick. Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Blair McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Warnes in the 95th minute of the match. Taquaral Campineiro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
