CD Municipal's Evtim Kúrdzhev managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edelmiro Jago in the 2 minute of the game. Enrique Cassaretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Alfonso Festa made a huge save. Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Festa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Enrique Cassaretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Călin Morovan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes CD Municipal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Eladio who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Zeledon Maiorga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Edelmiro Jago kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Enrique Cassaretto struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Alfonso Festa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Municipal. After 20 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Roman. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Enrique Cassaretto sped through C. A. BELGRANO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonso Festa. After 28th play minutes Enrique Cassaretto shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Alfonso Festa and just under the crossbar into goal. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. BELGRANO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iacob Roman was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Municipal's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on CD Municipal's corner Iacob Roman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfonso Festa quite easily take care of the ball. After 39 played minutes C. A. BELGRANO got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Eladio. Alfonso Festa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 43rd minute of play. Iacob Roman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Gustavo Eladio made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C. A. BELGRANO's Gabriel Cortez got a free kick in the 55th minute. CD Municipal's Iacob Roman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zeledon Maiorga, made in the 57th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Enrique Cassaretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Festa was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Alfonso Festa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the match, C. Edelmiro Jago kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Ryota Miyagi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Festa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oalo Dean in the 90th minute of play forced C. A.
