In the 6thth minute of the game Juan Mondaca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. BELGRANO's Alfonso Festa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anacleto Dessauer came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alfonso Festa could save by the left post. Mario Pacho's late challenge caught a Magallanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Pacho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Magallanes booed when C. A. BELGRANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Pacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Juan Mondaca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Festa was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Magallanes were awarded a corner. Seran Turres went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Tomás Thompson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Juan Mondaca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Alfonso Festa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Magallanes defense, Gustavo Eladio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ksawery Witkowski. The Magallanes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ksawery Witkowski should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Magallanes's zone, Gustavo Eladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ksawery Witkowski came out of the goal and Gustavo Eladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Mondacas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Alfonso Festa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 35th minute Gustavo Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Witkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Mondaca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfonso Festa. That made the score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. When Edelmiro Jago fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. BELGRANO's protests and gave Edelmiro Jago a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C. A. BELGRANO's Edelmiro Jago got a free kick in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 56 played minutes C. A. BELGRANO got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Eladio. In the 57th minute, Juan Mondaca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magallanes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A collision led to C. A. BELGRANO getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edelmiro Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Magallanes's Anacleto Dessauer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Festa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. With a little luck, Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski got control of the ball when Onur Ali Cespan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, one of Magallanes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Magallanes. When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, C. A. BELGRANO's Washington Santos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ksawery Witkowski. Anacleto Dessauer kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
