An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Escobar in the 2nd minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Forsyth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milosz Gabis went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Juan Benavides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ defense, Enrique Cassaretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Benavides. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Benavides should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 19th minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Juan Benavides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Cassaretto took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Benavides. Juan Benavides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 29 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Tulio Andinyach came free, but Juan Benavides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Tulio Andinyach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 32nd minute, Enrique Cassaretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 minutes CD Municipal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Gustafson who took care of the corner kick. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Tomas Gustafson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but George Forsyth in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Escobar in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes CD Municipal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Gustafson who took care of the corner kick. Juan Benavides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 48th minute of the match. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CD Municipal were winning 1-4.

CD Municipal's attentive Evtim Kúrdzhev managed to snatch the ball when Ivar Vabadus made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. In the 54th minute, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. The CD Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Benavides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Cassaretto's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Juan Benavides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Cassaretto went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Zlatan Molina. CD Municipal's Aureliano Buendia was substituted for Tulio Andinyach. CD Municipal's Ryota Miyagi was substituted for Enrique Cassaretto. In the 76th minute Milosz Gabis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milosz Gabis scored 2-7 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Forsyth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oalo Dean who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Juan Benavides when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Humberto Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Gabis came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Benavides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryota Miyagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Municipal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
