An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Escobar in the 15th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Benavides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vatan Enfal in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner. Tobías Izamit went to the cornerflag to take it. 22 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Martín Ulloa came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juan Benavides, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Ulloa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Gustafson in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. Juan Benavides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Abel went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
