Roncourt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Abel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thierry Lhermite hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Florencio Jax came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Inter de Chillán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Jax couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Roncourt's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Mounir Perry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Léon Cailleaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roncourt's goalkeeper Mounir Perry, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vatan Enfal struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Mounir Perry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. Mounir Perry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Roncourt's Mounir Perry got control of the ball when Vatan Enfal tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fernán Chiquillo hit a great ball. Roncourt's Jean-Marc Kazmierczak was substituted for Léon Cailleaux. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman was substituted for Vatan Enfal. Roncourt's Désiré Lemière was substituted for Thierry Lhermite. Fernán Chiquillo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Björnberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 78th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 94th minute of play. Inter de Chillán played a much better game than Roncourt and deserved their victory. The Roncourt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
