An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Barral in the 18th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Bøje Dyssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Randkleve's Bøje Dyssen threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Liu Hui Qi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ragnar Svartengren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Randkleve's Ragnar Svartengren got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lucjan Sedzikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albinus Alking in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terri Videbjerg in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's Axel Ree sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucjan Sedzikowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Axel Ree took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Lucjan Sedzikowski to make any attempt to save it. Randkleve's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
