Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwidon Cwojdak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Stanny Van Gorp made a huge save. Ye Hong Shi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Stanny Van Gorp made a huge save. Arthur Bufi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jason Asselberghs in the 11th minute of the match. Stanny Van Gorp came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川. But to his dismay, 余永川 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Young Ostend United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Gwidon Cwojdak scored to the left of an out of position Stanny Van Gorp, making the score, 2-0. Gerardo Ibar kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 余永川 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanny Van Gorp having to interfere. 余永川 might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanny Van Gorp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 余永川 ran back to his position shaking his head. Stanny Van Gorp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 余永川, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 38th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gong Fan to maneuver through the defense. If Jason Asselberghs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Young Ostend United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gwidon Cwojdak fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 47 played minutes Young Ostend United got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Vârșan. Stanny Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余永川 in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jason Asselberghs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 余永川 in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Gwidon Cwojdak sped through Young Ostend United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanny Van Gorp. 62 minutes into the match, Young Ostend United's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Cwojdak came free, but Stanny Van Gorp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 余永川 in the 64th minute of play. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Ibar during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gerardo Ibar got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Young Ostend United booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Ibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kris Rondou kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Kris Rondou hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Stanny Van Gorp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 余永川, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Kris Rondou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gwidon Cwojdak sped through Young Ostend United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanny Van Gorp. A collision led to Young Ostend United getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Kris Rondou hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Cwojdak in the 93rd minute of play forced Young Ostend United's goalkeeper Stanny Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Cwojdak in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanny Van Gorp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
