The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Lastur got free with Kang Ying Hai in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saul Baumer struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kang Ying Hai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zuberbühler FC. Zuberbühler FC's Abelardo Nardo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kang Ying Hai in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Abelardo Nardo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kang Ying Hai. Kang Ying Hai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 61st minute Saul Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kang Ying Hai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kang Ying Hai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Baumer, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
