Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Barros in the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Guerra was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, Icoara Football Club could leave the field as winners, despite Ibirama Futebol Clube having more of the ball for most of the match.
