In the 3rd minute Michael Wirinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wambasther Robben who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Christoffel Portmans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christoffel Portmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 5th minute of the match. Christoffel Portmans made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Wambasther Robben sent off a good shot on target. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amílton Loyola in the 14th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SK Dreigoten's goalie and right to Marcos Fantini. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SK Dreigoten's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Patricio Ugutz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dale Dolar in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoffel Portmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SK Dreigoten's Christoffel Portmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 26th minute of play. Dale Dolar struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Christoffel Portmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcellos Mineiro FC. Barcellos Mineiro FC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after SK Dreigoten's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amílton Loyola took the corner. After 39 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christoffel Portmans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Christoffel Portmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Robben Vanden Bossche threw the ball into play from the sideline. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Amílton Loyola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Wirinckx was the one to do the kick off. If Dale Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christoffel Portmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 54th minute of the match. Dale Dolar took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christoffel Portmans. Christoffel Portmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Christoffel Portmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dale Dolar went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Patricio Ugutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Wirinckx in the 62nd minute of the match. Dale Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christoffel Portmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Dreigoten's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amílton Loyola was slow to take the kick. During this time Barcellos Mineiro FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Barcellos Mineiro FC's corner Amílton Loyola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christoffel Portmans quite easily take care of the ball. When Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Dreigoten's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Wirinckx came free, but Patricio Ugutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Dreigoten's goalkeeper Christoffel Portmans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Marcos Fantini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoffel Portmans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emilio Cimino was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Dreigoten's players had a chance to rest. SK Dreigoten's Emilio Cimino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patricio Ugutz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Dreigoten's goalkeeper Christoffel Portmans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoffel Portmans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal was substituted for Marcos Fantini. SK Dreigoten were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Barcellos Mineiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emilio Cimino took the corner. SK Dreigoten's Ludwig Van der Borght was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patricio Ugutz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Christoffel Portmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Uribe in the 88th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luisinho Uribe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffel Portmans was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Robben Vanden Bossche made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Roderik Van den Berch however managed to control.
