In the 33rd minute Bernardinho Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vellito Alguerdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cléber Medeiros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. S.C.CHUÍ's Caetano Paranaense was substituted for Luiz Pereira. In a very dangerous position, a player in NAGANO F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Joris Scheer made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Bernardinho Abreu sped through NAGANO F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vellito Alguerdo. Rahim Niğdeli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Cerezo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play.
