The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arden Poulin to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Angel Death came free, but Santos Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Rähn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Avery Merrill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 53 minute of play. Gerson Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Justo Carlomagno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Raul Rähn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Eiko Heinmaa fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reaalne Madrid JK's protests and gave Eiko Heinmaa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Eiko Heinmaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arden Poulin took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Rähn. Raul Rähn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Persepolis F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reaalne Madrid JK the free kick.
