After 23 played minutes io.dasola got a freekick which was hit by Robert Kornasiewicz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Danielsson in the 24th minute of play forced io.dasola's goalkeeper Szczepan Ciechocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylwester Kolanos short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Claudinho Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Claudinho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Gliwicka Torcida were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
