The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens Bohlin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kim Alnes's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Sturle Åsland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustav Ekström in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Bide during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Roman Bide. If Roman Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Alex Lidström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sturle Åsland, 1-0. Åsnes's Kim Alnes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Lidström got free with Sturle Åsland in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blængur Guðbjarnason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sturle Åsland having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Åsnes's zone, Blængur Guðbjarnason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sturle Åsland came out of the goal and Blængur Guðbjarnason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andréas Ersman charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andréas Ersman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andréas Ersman kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Köping's Jens Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Alnes in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Kim Alnes. The audience was convinced that Kim Alnes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens Bohlin was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Alex Lidström notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Åsnes's Sturle Åsland. Sturle Åsland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sturle Åsland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Brander, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Viklund during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Köping's Eddie Viklund got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Kim Alnes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens Bohlin skillfully saved the ball. Roman Bide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Lidström made a kick off. Kim Alnes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Petter Vartdal. 59 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lidström came free, but Sturle Åsland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Haroldo Gaitan hit a great ball. Kim Alnes in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jens Bohlin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Åsnes defense, Adrian Brander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sturle Åsland. The Åsnes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sturle Åsland should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Adrian Brander sped through Åsnes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sturle Åsland. Boye Brøning kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jens Bohlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Alnes in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Köping's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Alnes came free, but Jens Bohlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sturle Åsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Lidström in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Köping booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Gjessing didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poyraz Erçetin to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Köping had won after a very even match.
