With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Komornicki in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kryspin Cupial saved SSV Ulm 1846 from getting behind. Konrad Bubczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Tibor Horváth in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SSV Ulm 1846's Sven-Olof Lilja. Mattis Magic Team's Tibor Horváth suffered a concussion after 18 minutes and had to leave the field. Afonso Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SSV Ulm 1846 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Afonso Silveira hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Björklund came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Björklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mattis Magic Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Ronny Skytt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Björklund in the 27th minute of play. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Skytt, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Konrad Bubczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niclas Monschke in the 37th minute. Roch Komornicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Skytt was the one to do the kick off. SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Albrecht Bosbach made a precise shot to the right of Konrad Bubczyk. Mattis Magic Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Mattis Magic Team's Konrad Bubczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Monschke in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mattis Magic Team's goalkeeper Konrad Bubczyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Don Merlot scored 3-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Konrad Bubczyk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Janusz Czerwinski in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SSV Ulm 1846's Sven-Olof Lilja. After having played for 72 minutes, Niclas Monschke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niclas Monschke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konrad Bubczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Monschke in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Ronny Skytt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kryspin Cupial was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Konrad Bubczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Merlot in the 80th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846's Primitivo Jerano was substituted for Jose Ramon Talcao. 89 minutes in the game Janusz Czerwinski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ronny Skytt. 95 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Konrad Bubczyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SSV Ulm 1846's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
