Mazinho Barreto made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Diego Frasquito sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Huly hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mazinho Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Cordeara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Municipales FC were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruce Harper took the corner. The corner ended in Bruce Harper almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto did a great save. In the 17th minute, Diego Frasquito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Frasquito in the 19th minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Tasso came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Frasquito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Diego Di Toma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvin van der Sar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Diego Di Toma sped through Municipales FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edvin van der Sar. Diego Frasquito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by İskender Yörük in the 36th minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 秦坚永 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alfonso Cordeara, made in the 42nd minute of the game. Diego Frasquito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mazinho Barreto made a huge save.

Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun was substituted for Diego Frasquito. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Quintun to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieguinho Sá. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Quintun in the 60th minute of the match. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Quintun in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Barreto saved FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA from getting behind. In the 68th minute Jonathan Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Municipales FC's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 梅响庭 in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Quintun came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA defense, Edgardo Quintun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Barreto. The FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Barreto should have stopped the shot. Mazinho Barreto came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun. But to his dismay, Edgardo Quintun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Tomé Baptista was substituted for Jonathan Huly. After 87 played minutes Municipales FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelito Di Maria. Edvin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Di Toma in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Di Toma got free with Edvin van der Sar in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgardo Quintun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Edgardo Quintun might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Barreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Quintun ran back to his position shaking his head. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 95th minute of play. Yu Hong Yong hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Quintun, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
