Quilmes's Adan Lartaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Stephansson in the 41st minute of play. When Lucas Nataniel came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Quilmes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Nataniel couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Puskas United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Åman to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match, Ismael Dolcet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nestor Iratxo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Puskas United booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaromir Ziemniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Dolcet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Iratxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Iratxo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. There was no doubt that Quilmes were the better team. Quilmes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
