The Wara fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Wara's Faouzi Louahla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Evaristo Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th match minute, ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Di Livio to maneuver through the defense. Wara's Jean-Baptiste Boulebda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ. Evaristo Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Urdaspal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaristo Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute Evaristo Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Larkins Potter hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Larkins Potter got free with Tao Yu Qing in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the game, Larkins Potter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tao Yu Qing. Larkins Potter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 35th minute of the game Cheb El-Hadi made a throw-in which Hemza Khaled played forward. Elias Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ booed when Wara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheb El-Hadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jiang Ke Zhan hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larkins Potter to make the kick off.
