The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Tímár in the 9th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Runa United's Harry Boumans stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Aristides Iztal stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing GangsTaz F. Nils-Erik Åhlberg came out of the goal and Lajos Tímár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of GangsTaz F. C. booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Fittipaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, GangsTaz F. C.'s Lajos Tímár nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils-Erik Åhlberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lajos Tímár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ted Almstedt made the kick off in the second half. If Lajos Tímár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Lajos Tímár had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils-Erik Åhlberg. Runa United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lajos Tímár was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Harry Boumans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aristides Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajos Tímár's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, GangsTaz F. C.'s Hernan Vargas got a free kick in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lajos Tímár. Ted Almstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GangsTaz F. C. made a substitution. Abel Bernard replaced Hernan Vargas. After 91 played minutes GangsTaz F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Abel Bernard. In the 92nd minute Ted Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luke Jamieson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg made a huge save. GangsTaz F. C. were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Runa United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Germán Pezzella took the corner. GangsTaz F. C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
