Cengizhan Şahistan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgün Hatip, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Urban came free, but Anthon Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Özgün Hatip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cengizhan Şahistan having to interfere. Boris Marsac might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cengizhan Şahistan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. FC Krotoszyn's Wawrzyniec Kisielka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anthon Karlsson. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Radomil Mroczynski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cengizhan Şahistan having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogdan Brack during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krzysztof Sliwinski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jerzy Urban hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Anthon Karlsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Krzysztof Sliwinski's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Radomil Mroczynski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cengizhan Şahistan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. If Jerzy Urban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Jerzy Urban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Anthon Karlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cengizhan Şahistan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgün Hatip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
