When Carmelo Ishmael came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the GangsTaz F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Ishmael couldn't finish the play. Oscar Malbernat hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ted Almstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Iztal having to interfere. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Runa United from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Runa United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Ishmael was slow to take the kick. During this time GangsTaz F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg got control of the ball when Lajos Tímár tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GangsTaz F. C.'s zone, Ted Almstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Iztal came out of the goal and Ted Almstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Almstedt in the 46th minute of play forced GangsTaz F. C.'s goalkeeper Aristides Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Boumans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Abel Bernard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Åhlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Abel Bernard might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Erik Åhlberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Bernard ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Runa United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Ishmael was slow to take the kick. During this time GangsTaz F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. Carmelo Ishmael made a great header on GangsTaz F. C.'s corner, it was just that Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of GangsTaz F. C. booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anttoni Salmelainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. GangsTaz F. C.'s Lajos Tímár got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nils-Erik Åhlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aristides Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Boumans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes GangsTaz F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Ishmael. In the 91st minute, Lajos Tímár got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Tímár in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. GangsTaz F. C. had won after a very even match.
