José Maria Goiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atl. Taquaritinga. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Poetass FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Varban Pavlikyanov took the corner. In the 14th minute Breno Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Poetass FC from getting a goal against them. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeng Xu Yuan in the 17th minute of play. José Maria Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeng Chang, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Zeng Chang got free in front of the goal in the 23rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. José Maria Goiano was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Billberg came free, but Haroldo Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Délio Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Goiano came out of the goal and Délio Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano got control of the ball when Breno Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonel Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. José Maria Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Loyola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of José Maria Goiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witalis Brysz in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno Loyola to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Breno Loyola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Haroldo Dante was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Zeng Xu Yuan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zeng Xu Yuan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Kalle Billberg in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Haroldo Dante, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. José Maria Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Loyola in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute Breno Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Messi's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. José Maria Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kalle Billberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Haroldo Dante skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Jonathan Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's protests and gave Jonathan Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Jonathan Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Zeng Xu Yuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poetass FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Poetass FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
