After taking down the ball on GuateFortín's corner Angel Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tim Zeigler quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rd minute Anani Kotorov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Aitor Lanchares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ayapaso FC and the GuateFortín players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Ayapaso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aitor Lanchares to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Ayapaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ayapaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Gomez came free, but Tim Zeigler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
